Menstrual Cycle, YES a 35 day cycle is normal!

Back to Basics

Did you know that in adults it is completely normal to have a menstrual cycle anywhere between 21 - 35 days. YES, I said normal. A word I don't usually like to use, but for woman's health, it has to be. A 28 day menstrual cycles is just the average for women, so if your cycle is anywhere between 21 - 35, please don't stress, this is absolutely fine.

In teenagers, it can be even longer, and a normal menstrual cycle can be anywhere from 21 to 45 days. And again, this too is completely normal.

What is not normal, is if you are experiencing any pain, discomfort, clotting, heavy bleeding and differ to the above ranges for a menstrual cycle. If you are experiencing painful periods, please reach out to me and do tell your doctor, and if they don't have women's health knowledge on this, let's solve the problem together.

If you would like to track your period pain and symptoms, or if you have or suspect you have endometriosis, please download my symptom tracker located under the "Free downloads" and try track to the best of your ability. It is good to track over a minimum of 3 months to gather data, BUT please do not wait this long to get help, again if you are suffering and having symptoms that interfere with everyday tasks, this should not be ignored.

My wish today and every day, is for you to be free of any pain and suffering.

Best wishes,
Philly
